Mohji the Lion Tamer is the First Mate of the Buggy Pirates. A self-professed lord of tame and wild beasts, he actually has no influence with animals beyond his domesticated lion, Richie. He is a tall man with a deep voice, though he appears rather harmless, clothed in baggy blue trousers supported by a yellow sash. His lower neck and upper torso are concealed by what appears to be a fluffy white scarf, although this 'scarf' is in fact Mohji's natural hair. Likewise, the ornamental ears on his head are also naturally grown. Unlike the other members of the Buggy Pirates, Mohji lacks any fighting or tactical skills whatsoever, relying wholly on Richie for protection and to carry out his orders from Buggy.
