Rika is a young girl who lives in Shelltown, Axe Hand Morgan's former station. On her first try making riceballs (Onigiri, for Zoro) she had them stomped into the dirt by Helmeppo because she flavored them with sugar instead of salt. Zoro promptly dictates that Luffy feed him the ruined food, and he says to tell her "It was delicious. I ate it all."
Because she tried to give the rice balls to Zoro inside of the Marine Base, however, Helmeppo threw her out; Morgan ordered her executed, but was stopped before he could do so. After the ordeal with Morgan, Rika became good friends with Coby and, to a lesser extent, Helmeppo, before they were transferred to the Marine HQ by Garp.
