Sanji continues to struggle in the match against Kalifa. He gets two opportunities to strike Kalifa, but stops before physically harming her, hoping that it was enough to get her to hand over her key. Tired of Sanji's empty threats, Kalifa finally gets Sanji in a tight position, and tells him that he won't survive her new, unrevealed Devil's Fruit abilities.

Just when Nami is in peril from the grip of Kumadori's hair, Chopper rushes in to interfere, releasing Nami from suffocation. As Nami and Chopper run away, Sanji falls through the ceiling above them. Something's wrong though, as Sanji appears to be a glass doll. Nami can't help but understand the situation as soon as she sees Kalifa above her. She could not believe that even in a dying state, Sanji would continue to go through with his code of chivalry. Because Sanji is incapable of fighting, Nami takes his place while Chopper goes against Kumadori.

It appears that Luffy attempted to go directly to the Gates of Justice using a small boat, but failed because of the giant whirlpools. Chimney and Gonbe arrived in time to rescue him. Both of them take Luffy to the door they saw Spandam use, but find that the door is unopenable without a key. Luffy uses Gear Third on the steel door, and continues forward... as a small version of himself! A result of Gear Third!?
